TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -  TODAY'S MOST... Disgusting discovery: A child opened the door to a guest room in his house and saw a giant nest of wasps on the bed.

A pest control expert says about 5,000 wasps chewed through the bedding.

The child's mother says she never uses the guest room, and actually hadn't opened the door to the room in months. The house is in Hampshire, England.

The pest control expert told the Mirror "in 45 years I have never seen anything like it... at one stage there must have been 2,000 wasps buzzing around me. If someone had gone in to the room and not known what it was it would have been pretty serious."

He said it took two hours to kill all the insects, and that when it was all over it looked like "the apocalypse."
