JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - The son of the head of investigations for the Jackson County Sheriff's Department was arrested by Jackson County investigators Tuesday.

According to a press release by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, a home burglary call Tuesday morning in Ocean Springs led to the arrest of 20-year-old Jordan Gary Miller. Miller is the son of Commander Louie Miller with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. Commander Miller released a statement today:

"My heart goes out to the victims and I feel horrible because I know them. In law enforcement, we are not immune to problems. I believe our children should be held accountable just like everyone else in the county. No one is above the law. This is new era in the sheriff's department, and we are not going to hide stuff from the public or sweep things under the rug."

Jordan Gary Miller is charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling. If convicted, he faces a $10,000 fine and or up to 25 years in prison.
