Explosion at IL metal recycling plant kills 2, injures 1

GRANITE CITY, IL (RNN) - Two people have died  following an explosion at the Totall Metal Recycling Plant in Illinois on Monday, according to reports. The plant is located in an Illinois suburb of St. Louis.

A mortar shell exploded and the bomb squad was called to the the scene. 

The Associated Press says officials fear more explosions. 

The person injured was taken to area hospital.

Totall Metal Recycling employ over 160 people in six departments. 

According to the website, Total Metal Recycling works together to deliver "quality service, competitive pricing, and innovative recycling/asset management solutions."
