COVINGTON, LA (WVUE) -

A Kenner man was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail Tuesday after a resident reported seeing him fondling himself in a business parking lot. Police said they have connected the man to a separate, similar incident and are in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant.

Miguel Rodriguez, 35, of Gelpi Avenue, was booked with one count of obscenity. His bond has not yet been set.

Just before 1 p.m., a woman called 911 to report seeing Rodriguez fondling himself in his gold Saturn Vue at a business along Highway 190 near Covington. Sheriff's deputies began looking for the SUV, and about 30 minutes later, a deputy stationed at the intersection of Highway 190 and Highway 22 in Mandeville saw a similar vehicle heading south toward the Causeway Bridge.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and Rodriguez allegedly admitted to the incident.

A similar complaint was filed Aug. 13 at another business parking lot near I-12 in the Covington area. Deputies said they were able to connect Rodriguez to that incident, and he will be booked once a warrant is obtained.
