Rossford Police identify man caught on video stealing donation jar

ROSSFORD, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A man caught on camera stealing a donation jar from a Rossford gas station has now been identified.

Police say the suspect has been identified as Robert Vaughn from Perrysburg Township.

On Monday, Rossford Police released images from surveillance video showing Vaughn entering a Shell-True North gas station and stealing a donation jar for Kids Unlimited, a local after school and summer program for students.

Police say they aren't sure how much money he got away with.

After they released video of the suspect yesterday, they started receiving several tips from the community about who the man might be and they were able to identify him.

Vaughn is facing a misdemeanor theft charge, and police are currently working to get him into custody.

They also discovered that Vaughn is the suspect for three other thefts in Wood County, Lake Township, and Northwood.
