JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Part of Interstate 10 in Jackson County will be temporarily closed Tuesday morning.
Mississippi Highway Patrol officials tell WLOX News both the east and west bound lanes of I-10 near the Fort Bayou Road overpass will be closed at 8:50 a.m. That's at mile marker 54.
This closure is expected to last 20 to 30 minutes. Corporal Benjamin Seibert says highway patrol officers will be assisting MDOT and Singing River Electric with the removal of old power lines that cross the interstate.
Seibert warns drivers to expect delays and to use alternative routes if possible.
