Four people escape overnight trailer home fire in Saucier

SAUCIER, MS (WLOX) -

Harrison County Fire Marshal Pat Sullivan tells WLOX News fire crews spent more than two hours battling a blaze inside of a trailer home off Highway 49 on Tuesday night.

Sullivan said the call came in around 8:30 p.m. from a trailer park in Saucier, and fire crews had the blaze extinguished around 11 p.m.

Sullivan said one adult and three children were inside the trailer when the fire started, but all four were able to make it out of the blaze safely. Officials said fire fighters jumped into action quickly and were able to keep the fire contained to just two rooms.

Sullivan said they are now working to determine what caused the fire. Again, there were no injuries, but extensive damage was reported on one end of the trailer.

Harrison County Fire Services and the Lizana Volunteer Fire Department worked the blaze.
