William Carey shifts registration to help its working students

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Students arrived at William Carey's Tradition campus eager to get their class schedules.  Tuesday was the first day of early registration at the Highway 67 campus.

This was the first time the campus started registration at noon instead of first thing in the morning. Administrative Dean Jerry Bracey said the change was made to accommodate the school's working students. Nearly 90% of William Carey students have jobs. Consequently, switching to a late afternoon registration makes scheduling just a bit easier for students.

Students seemed to appreciate the time change. They didn't have to miss work or leave early to register for classes.

William Carey classes begin August 25. A second registration will be held August 22.
