They've been a nightmare for business owners and travelers alike in Moss Point since they were installed. And now, the decorative medians along Main Street are nearly gone.
Moss Point Mayor Billy Broomfield says work to remove the controversial medians is about 95% complete. Once the project is finished, there will be three new turning lanes where the medians used to be. Business owners hope these turning lanes, will help improve business they say they've lost since the medians were installed.
Along with help from state funding, the project will cost the city nearly $100,000.
