GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Andy Switzer, of Gulfport, traveled to Wisconsin to buy a very rare vintage automobile.

"I found a 1931 Lincoln series K model 205. It's the town sedan," said Switzer.

Only 211 were made that year, and according to Switzer, there are only three of the models known to be in car collections around America.

The Lincoln Model K Sedan is considered to be one of the true luxury cars of its time. Switzer is only the third owner of this car. It has only 32,000 miles on the odometer.

As you can imagine, Switzer draws quite a bit of attention when he takes it on the road.

"At a red light on Highway 49, a guy rolls down his window and says to me, ‘That must be a beautiful way to spend the day.' He made my day," Switzer said.

Switzer wants to keep as many of the car's original parts and accessories as he can, because he thinks it's important to preserve American automotive heritage.

"A classic car of this status needs to stay original. This is part of history, and it needs to stay that way," said Switzer.

The car has won several best in show trophies at car events held across the country.

14 years as part of the Ole Miss football program as a coach or player has prepared Matt Luke for this opportunity. Admittedly it doesn't come under the circumstances he might've envisioned. But with a Rebel bloodline that runs 3 generations deep, the position fulfills a lifelong dream. "I can truly tell y'all today that this is my dream job," Luke said Monday at his first press conference as Ole Miss interim head coach. "It's a job that I've been preparing my whole li...

The Pascagoula Panthers open the 2017 football season on the road. In fact, their first three games are road contests. That scheduling quirk may give field turf crews just enough time to get War Memorial Stadium ready for the September 8 home opener. The wet weather in South Mississippi is placing quite the burden on construction workers as they attempt to complete stadium renovations. The project was suppose to be finished before the beginning of Pascagoula's football season.
