Decatur police arrest 2 for violating open container laws

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur police said officers with their Anti-Crime Unit arrested two men after they said they were in a vehicle with open containers of alcohol Thursday.

It happened in the area of Bluebird Lane. Officers said they saw two men exit a vehicle with open containers of beer.

One of the men, Mario Quintez Dancy, poured his beer out onto the street, officers said. Investigators found a quantity of prescription drugs without a valid prescription.

Investigators said the other man, Michael Delon Baker, was intoxicated to the point he was a danger to himself.

Dancy and Baker were arrested and charged with open container violations. Dancy was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. Baker was also charged with public intoxication.
