P.E. teacher accused of grabbing, pinching victim

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

More details have been released about a physical education teacher facing charges of child abuse.

Police charged Arthur Wesley with torture and willful abuse of a child Wednesday.

The charges stem from an incident at a school back in May. Court documents indicate Wesley is accused of grabbing the 10-year-old victim's chest and pinching him, leaving a bruise.

A Huntsville City Schools spokesperson said Wesley taught P.E. at McDonnell Elementary.

Wesley turned himself in to the Madison County Metro Jail and was released on $2,500 bond. It was previously confirmed Wesley's status is currently "pending disciplinary action."
