MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

One Marshall County school system is sending it's administrators through a boot camp.

Boaz school administrators loaded up the bus Friday and headed to Lake Guntersville for an aquatic boot camp.

Here they competed in different aquatic games using kayaks.

Groups of three would go out as a team in one event to try to collect as many floating buoys as they could.

The superintendent said it's all about thinking and behaving as a team for the kids.

"They're putting obstacles in front of us that we have no idea," said Boaz Superintendent Mark Isley. "Just like in real life, there's obstacles that come our way and they're watching to see how we respond. That we are able to see just how effective we are in the obstacles that we face."

It's just part of the preparations they're making for the beginning of school, which begins August 14.
