Warrior workout charity event takes place on Saturday

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

One Columbus business and a very popular fitness center in the Chattahoochee Valley are joining forces to help the men and women who serve this country.

Headquarter Nissan and CrossFit Sacrifice are holding the Warrior Workout of the Day Fitness Charity Event tomorrow.

This event benefits the Friends of Sledgehammer, a nonprofit organization that helps members of the 3rd Brigade on Fort Benning.

The Warrior Workout of the Day might sound a little intimidating, but a representative of a sponsoring organization says anyone can do it.

"It's an open WOD or workout of the day for everybody," said Chris Kowalewski It is a universally scalable. So we don't adjust the workout. We adjust the low and intensity of it. Don't freak out if you have not done cross fit"

The Warrior Workout of the Day Fitness charity event is Saturday, August 2 at 9 a.m. at Headquarter Nissan.

There is a registration fee which covers participation and a t-shirt. For more information call (706) 225-8100.
