TALLASSEE, AL (WSFA) -

An Eclectic woman is facing domestic violence charges after investigators say she hit her husband several times with a vehicle Saturday night.

The Tallassee Police Department says Angela Reynolds, 40, now faces a first degree domestic violence charge.

The victim, 44-year-old John Reynolds, was taken to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries following the incident.

An investigation shows that the couple had been arguing at a house on Sims Avenue when the wife used her vehicle to run over the husband "several times".

"They were always having domestic disputes," said neighbor David Hooker.

Reynolds was found at the edge of his friend's driveway. Witnesses say they heard some type of commotion, but had no idea what happened.

"She was upset with him for being intoxicated," said Tallassee Police Department Investigator Jason Gray said. "There was alcohol involved and that was the only thing we can find that prompted this. Unfortunately domestic violence is the highest percentage of our call volume."

Hooker says he's grateful his friend survived, but both he and police encourage anyone in an abusive relationship to seek help.

The victim remains in the hospital in stable condition while his wife is being held at the Tallapoosa County Jail on an unknown bond amount.

CSX is facing another million dollar lawsuit, but it's not connected to the recent deadly crash at the Main Street crossing in Biloxi. It's actually from the accident a month prior involving a Pepsi truck that was stuck on the tracks and hit by a CSX train.
