PICAYUNE, MS (WLOX) -

The Picayune High School baseball and softball fields didn't receive any damage from the vandals. They look fine. However, for three consecutive nights, vandals broke into the baseball and softball locker rooms, the field house and the concessions stands.

Capt. Lane Pittman says the Picayune Police Department is investigating the break-ins and what has turned out to be a burglary, with items stolen from inside the field houses and concessions stands.

"Upon arrival, we had located several entry and exit areas where they had made entry into the buildings," Pittman said.

Investigators aren't saying too much about the damage inside the buildings, and they are determined to generate as much information to go after the perpetrators.

"As soon as we can get a conclusion in this case, we're going to try because we try to take care of the citizens of Picayune as fast as we can and of course our school system, who is always good to us and helps us," said Pittman.

If anyone has any information on the vandalism and burglary, you can call the Picayune Police Department at 601-798-7411.
