HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

The Mississippi Supreme Court has denied Chris McDaniel's request that it reconsider its decision regarding the review of Harrison County poll books. The state's high court ruled last week that the McDaniel camp would not have the access it wanted to county poll books.

The court ruled that there is no legal requirement that poll books be included in the contents of ballot boxes. Although McDaniel can have access to the books, the court said he must reimburse taxpayers for the cost of redacting voter's personal information from each poll book.

McDaniel requested access to the poll books to review possible voter irregularities in the June 24, Republican Party primary runoff election that he lost to incumbent Thad Cochran by fewer than 7,000 votes.
