Gulfport ponytail drive collects hair for cancer patients

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

Inspire, encourage and restore hope. That is the mission of the Pink Hearts Fund, which gives wigs to those who have lost their hair while being treated for cancer.

You can change someone's life with your donation of a ponytail. The annual ponytail drive was held Saturday at Kountry Klippers in Gulfport. The donated hair will be used to make wigs for cancer patients in need.

If you would like to help, you can mail your hair to P.O. BOX 1047 Long Beach, MS. You must have at least 12 inches of hair, and it must be clean and dry, held together with a ponytail holder, and put in a Ziploc bag.
