A Harrison County Chancery Court ruling to dismiss a lawsuit against the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi brought by 150 congregants of St. Paul's Church stands.

On Thursday, the Mississippi Supreme Court upheld the lower court's ruling to dismiss the case.

In 2007, Eric Wooten filed the suit, on behalf of the congregants, regarding alleged irregularities in the use of rebuilding funds set aside for the church.

In 2008, a Harrison County Chancery Court judge dismissed the suit citing separation of church and state. Again, on Thursday, the state supreme court upheld that decision.
