(RNN) – A "disco demolition" style rally featuring the destruction of Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber albums? Yes, please.

That’s the plan for the Charleston RiverDogs, the Single A affiliate of the New York Yankees, on Saturday. The event is gloriously called Disco Demolition 2: You Better Belieb It and it's part of a post-game promotion. Those who bring Bieber and Cyrus gear will get into the ballpark for $1.

Fans of the pop music makers might not be fans of it, but for those who actually listen to real music, this appears a step in the right direction. The RiverDog’s General Manager Dave Echols believes it’s something that will be “all in good fun.”

“Like so many, we have taken special exception to Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus’s music along with his numerous run-ins with the law and her controversial performances,” Echols said on the team’s website. “Disco Demolition 2 is dedicated to the eradication of their dread musical disease … We are going to take Bieber and Cyrus’s merchandise and memorabilia, put it in a giant box and blow it to smithereens.”

Sounds like a party in the USA, baby.

The original Disco Demolition Night took place on July 12, 1979 at Comiskey Park, the old home of the Chicago White Sox. The demolition took place in the middle of a doubleheader between the White Sox and the Detroit Tigers, and was promoted by rock ‘n’ roll disk jockeys who were fed up with disco’s popularity following the film Saturday Night Fever.

More than 50,000 fans took part in the explosion of various disco records, and it's forever known as one of the most extreme and wild nights in MLB’s long and traditional history.

Many may be over World Cup fever, but the MLS has been in full swing since March 8, and after its two-week World Cup hiatus, it’s most colorful character has emerged.

MVP and Chicago Fire forward Mike Magee, in a video for KICKTV, spoofed the classic ‘80s movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and took some of his friends with him.

Tumblr of the Week: Tinder Guys with Tigers

The internet is already an odd place, and with smartphones and the lucrative world on online and cyber dating, Tinder doesn't make it easier.

But, there is a craze that is sweeping the bros of Tinder, captured perfectly in the Tumblr Tinder Guys with Tigers.

Picture this – a perfectly average dude bro attempts to get together with a young lady on Tinder. The first thing that young lady sees is the same perfectly average dude bro posed with a tiger, like he’s Sigfried and Roy.

Leave tigers alone – the animal will rip your throat out. Then you’ll be a perfectly average dude bro without a larynx and the ability to say, “Hey girl – do you like tigers?”

Wish I Was Here The Kickstarter-funded indie movie of the week – Is it fair to say that every character Zach Braff has played is going through something that his character is blowing completely out of proportion? At least he’s staying right in his wheelhouse in his latest venture that he wrote, directed and starred in as a 30-something family man who’s having a super-early midlife crisis.

Planes: Fire & Rescue – This Disney animation sequel lets us catch up with the king of the sky, Dusty, who has to join a fire and rescue crew after engine trouble forces him out of competitive flying. Check out the trailer here.
