PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Patricia Perry of Upper Drive in Pearl just finished a round of chemo, and she says she doesn't have much energy to continue dealing with an issue that's been lingering for a year and a half.

"It's aggravating," said Perry. "Because they're gonna have to come back out again and repair it again before they can bury it because we're running our cars over it again."

Perry points to a stretch of television cable laying on the ground, which needs to be buried. She says it's been there for 18 months, but it's not just her problem. It's also her neighbor's problem, and when television, telephone and Internet lines go out about once every few months, it becomes a hassle for families up and down the street.

The cable stretches past two houses and then it connects to a utility box in a third yard. But it hangs out in the street, and it causes big problems when cars run over it.

Next door neighbor Michelle Trigg is a Harley-Davidson Owner.

"My motorcycle kick stand picks up on it," she says. "It's picked up twice now, almost causing me to drop my motorcycle. We've actually had a couple of kids come in wanting to jump rope with it. We're at a constant battle with these lines."

Perry says she has called numerous times to get the cable buried, but no one shows up.

"I keep getting put off," she tells us. "They keep giving me dates and never come across with it."

Three On Your Side has a call in to Comcast xfinity, and we're awaiting their response.
