Two women arrested for stealing merchandise in Dothan

DOTHAN, AL (WSFA) -

Dothan Police have arrested two women after a local business complained they were stealing from the store. 

Officers arrive to 4401 Montgomery Highway at the Kohl's Department store where they were told two women had taken several pieces of merchandise and were leaving the business without paying for them. The suspects left the property in a maroon Dodge passenger car and were stopped shortly after by another officer responding to a call.

The suspects 54-year-old Connie Collins and 53-year-old Charlotte King were found to be in possession of the merchandise and property stolen from the Academy Sports at 3950 Montgomery Highway.

The suspects were taken into custody and charged with two counts of second degree theft of property with a $5,000 bond each.
