(CNN) – Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was held for five years by Taliban militants, has completed therapy and counseling.

A source tells CNN that he could return to active duty as early as Monday.

The source says Bergdahl could be assigned to Fort Sam Houston in Texas.

Bergdahl was released by the Taliban in Afghanistan two months ago in a prisoner swap with the U.S.

Since then, he's been undergoing re-integration treatment at an Army hospital in San Antonio.
