MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

A total of $11,000 in reward money is now being offered for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect in the July 13, 2014 robbery and homicide at the Troy Highway Package Store in Montgomery.

Thursday, Central Alabama CrimeStoppers announced that the victim's family is offering a $5,000 reward in the case, in addition to the $1,000 already being offered by CrimeStoppers and $5,000 from the FBI.

Rahulkumar Patel, 26, was working his normal shift at Troy Highway Package Store, located in the 4400 block of Troy Highway that Sunday evening when he was shot at 9:11 p.m. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The FBI says, "Witnesses describe the robber as a black male, approximately 5'5" to 5'8" tall, slim to medium build, with a medium complexion. He was wearing a short-sleeved light blue shirt, blue jeans, and a purple shirt over his head to conceal his face. He was also wearing white and blue tennis shoes with red soles and was armed with a black handgun."

The suspect was last seen running to the left out of the store's front door.

If you can identify or know the whereabouts of this suspect, please call the FBI office in Montgomery at 334-263-1691, the Montgomery Police Department at 334-625-2831, CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, or Secret Witness Line at 262-4000.
