The Selma Police Department arrested a teenager on Friday after he allegedly burglarized a residence.

Police arrested 19-year-old Christopher Deshaun Williams on Friday and charged him with third degree burglary and contributing to a delinquency of a minor.

According to Selma police, the burglary happened at a residence in the 1100 block of Memorial Avenue, where Williams and a 17-year-old accomplice kicked in a door and stole two televisions and $3,000.

Williams and his accomplice allegedly used William's mother's vehicle, a 2006 Toyota Camry, to commit the crime.

After finding out about her son's involvement in the crime, Williams' mother turned her son in to detectives.

Detectives are still investigating the case, and as of now the second suspect has not been arrested.

Williams was transported to the Dallas County Jail where he is being held on a bond set at $21,000.
