Tropical Blog: Edouard a Category 2; No Development Elsewhere

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The Gulf wave we were mentioning late last week and this weekend is moving into south Texas as a rain maker.

Elsewhere in the Atlantic basin, no development is likely for the next 5 days with the only named storm, Edouard, remaining in the open waters of the Atlantic.

Long range models are looking pretty good for us as we head into the second half of September. Once in October, the risk of evacuation-type storms is reduced to almost zero. Stay tuned!
