Homicide suspect charged with murder

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg Police have charged Michael Sullivan, 21, with murder in connection with a Saturday morning homicide. 

Authorities received a call of a suspicious vehicle behind the New Jerusalem Temple of God off McCall Street in Hattiesburg around 11:00 a.m. Saturday.

Officers responded and discovered an unidentified white male deceased in the vehicle in the overgrown area behind the church.

According to Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem, the cause and manor of death is under investigation pending an autopsy from the Mississippi State Crime Lab.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
