D'IBERVILLE, MS (WLOX) -

WLOX News has confirmed that the man New Orleans police have been looking for in connection to Sunday's deadly Bourbon Street shooting was arrested in Harrison County on Friday. According to Harrison County Sheriff Melvin Brisolara 20-year-old Trung T. Le was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Gulfport.

Brisolara confirmed that Le is being transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center for questioning.

Authorities said Le is suspected of firing the first shot in a mass shooting on the crowded street that killed one and injured nine others. Police believe at least two suspects exchanged gunfire during the incident.

A NOPD homicide detective obtained a warrant for Le on Friday morning for one count of first degree murder and nine counts of attempted first degree murder.

"Our Eighth District and Homicide Detectives have worked around the clock since this shooting incident took place and I am confident we will bring all of the perpetrators in this case to justice. I am thankful to local, state and regional law enforcement agencies that have assisted the NOPD and to the community for the numerous Crime Stoppers tips we have received," said NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas.

We have learned that earlier reports that Le was arrested in D'Iberville are incorrect. We will update this story as more information becomes available on WLOX News and WLOX.com.
