SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) -

There are plenty of places in South Mississippi where you can watch brilliant 4th of July fireworks displays on Friday after the sun sinks below the horizon.

In Gulfport, you can go down to Jones Park for the show that is set to start at 8:45 p.m. Then, starting at 9 p.m. in Biloxi, fireworks will be set off from Deer Island. The best place to watch this show is near the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor.

In Ocean Springs, the fireworks show starts at 8:40 p.m., and the best location to watch is on Front Beach. Before the fireworks begin, you can check out a free concert and other fun events in that area.

Over in Pascagoula, a fireworks show will begin at 9 p.m. at Beach Park.

In Wiggins, the annual big fireworks display at Flint Creek Water Park begins at 9 p.m.

Over in Hancock County, a show will begin around 7 p.m. at the Necaise Crossing Ball Park.

In Lucedale, a fireworks show begins at 7 p.m. in the old Walmart parking lot.

In Pearl River County, you can catch a display put on by the McNeill Volunteer Fire Department. Officials tell us the show will start around dusk behind the fire department.

Muddy Joe's Off Road and RV Park in Kiln is hosting its first annual Spark in the Park festival starting on Friday. Their fireworks display will commence after the sun goes down.

As you head out to watch your favorite fireworks display, local police have some things you need to keep in mind. Authorities want to remind you to be respectful of others on the road and at the fireworks displays. They also say it is important to only park in designated areas.
