STARKVILLE, MS (WLOX) - The Mississippi State Bulldogs and the NC State Wolfpack haven't met on the football turf since 1995 when North Carolina State jumped past the Bulldogs 29-25 in the Peach Bowl in Atlanta.
Both programs decided that the two schools should meet in a home-and-home football series and officially made an announcement on Tuesday.
North Carolina State will serve as the host team facing Mississippi State on September 12, 2020 at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh.
The Bulldogs will entertain the Wolfpack on September 11, 2021 in Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field.
North Carolina State leads the all-time series with 3 victories and 2 defeats. The last time the Bulldogs and Wolfpack clashed in Raleigh was on October 26, 1940, a 26-10 victory by Mississippi State.
The only time NC State and Mississippi State met in Starkville was on November 7, 1931. The Wolfpack prevailed on that day, 6-0.
