WLOX Editorial: New center promises to boost eco-tourism

Posted: Updated:

Congratulations to the city of Moss Point as construction begins on the new Pascagoula River Audubon Center. The $1.6 million facility is expected to draw thousands of nature tourists. The eco-tourism center will be a real feather in the cap of Moss Point.

A nature art gallery along with educational space will be included in the ten acre site on Rhodes Bayou. It has taken years of planning and construction of the Audubon center will take another year.

We hope the center will not only draw tourists but will also be supported by all of the residents of South Mississippi.

That's our opinion, we would like to hear yours. Email your thoughts to editorials@wlox.com.
