HATTIESBURG, MS (WLOX) -

The hidden cash frenzy sweeping the nation is getting closer to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Last week, a person with the Twitter handle @freecashMS began posting clues to where hidden money could be found.

Monday, the scavenger hunt moved to Hattiesburg. The first tip this morning to find the money drop was "beef, beanless chili, yellow mustard and white onions." And that led John Belcher and his kids to Coney Island Cafe and a $50 discovery. @

"They posted it and I was like, 'It sounds like a hot dog. Lets go here.' Everyone was saying it was going to be at Wards. But right as we were about to leave, we saw it on a light post," Belcher said. "They're pretty happy. They want to go get ice cream with their money."

Then, after that, another cash drop was made on the USM campus. The tips to find that money were, "Maybe you should hang out with smart kids." "Y'all are so warm.. Cook library, check. Outside, check.."
