JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Sen. John McCain spoke at a rally for Sen. Thad Cochran early this morning at the War Memorial Building.

Several other politicians were present including Sen, Wicker, Congressman Harper, Governor Bryant, Lt. Gov. Reeves and state auditor Stacey Pickering.

Cochran took the stage to talk about Sen. McCain's service in the Senate.

Sen. McCain told the crowd that Cochran must be sent back to Washington. He also told the crowd that the eyes of not only the world, but the nation will be on this election tomorrow.

Sen. McCain was not able to attend a coast event yesterday after being stuck at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport.

Cochran is being challenged by state Senator Chris McDaniel in tomorrow's runoff election. McDaniel is going to be in Meridian and Flowood today.

    Traffic is at standstill right now on the Popps Ferry Bridge in Biloxi. Authorities say the crossing bars at the bridge's span are stuck in the down position, preventing traffic from flowing.
