CLAIBORNE COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Claiborne County Sheriff Marvin Lucas says the body of Douglas Wilson was found Tuesday afternoon about six miles from where he went into the water. Wilson, 32, was one of four people swimming in Bayou Pierre Saturday afternoon, when they suddenly went under.

"We were swimming and my...Doug was in front of me and I was behind and then Tussy his girlfriend and then my little sister was behind us and we just...we went straight down," said swimmer L'Dream Reynolds.

The body of 16-year-old Mary Jones was found Sunday morning about 10 feet from where she went underwater.

Sheriff Lucas would like to thank the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, as well as authorities from Madison, Warren, and Claiborne counties as well as the city of Vicksburg who assisted in this search.
