White House Hotel to hold job fair at Biloxi Civic Center

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

The White House Hotel has a new location for its job fair. Instead of being held at the Beau Rivage the job fair will be held at the Biloxi Civic Center.

A job fair for the White House Hotel will be held on Wednesday, June 25 at the civic center from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Applications will only be accepted in person at the civic center.

Managers ask that you do not attempt to visit the actual White House Hotel to turn in an application.

The owners of the White House Hotel are hoping to open by August 1.

    A suspect wanted for the murder of a 72-year-old man in Independence, MO was arrested Monday in Gulfport, according to Independence Police Department spokesman John Syme.

    A news release from Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson says a deputy shot and killed an armed suspect on Lake Vista Drive. According to the sheriff, deputies went to the neighborhood off Canal Road at 5:58 Monday night. They reportedly went there for a follow-up call involving a stolen car case from earlier that day.  "A deputy discharged his weapon and the suspect was transported from the scene to a local area hospital" where he later died, the sheriff said.
