JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An overnight storm has left several Mississippi neighborhoods with limbs, trees, and even a few power poles scattered on the ground, Friday morning.

At one point there were at lease 7000 homes without power in Lincoln and Copiah counties.

The Natchez Trace in Jefferson County was blocked, both directions due to debris.

Some people in Brookhaven sent us pictures of a power pole down and huge trees in the middle of the road.

We'll be following this story throughout the day to bring you new information about the damage and the clean up.
