GULFPORT/BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Police officers from Biloxi and Gulfport descended upon the parking lot at Edgewater Village Thursday afternoon searching for a 13-year-old girl they feared had been kidnapped. Luckily, the girl was found unharmed; the 35-year-old man with her was arrested.

Gulfport Police were the ones initially called to investigate a possible kidnapping near Leggett Circle. Officers learned that the girl left the area with an older man they later identified as Eric Scott Doyle.

Investigators said Doyle had been communicating with the girl by text, and had arranged to meet up with her. They were quickly tracked down in Biloxi, and the teen was returned to her parents.

Doyle is now charged with Enticement of a Child for Sexual Purposes. He is being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center in lieu of a $150,000 bond.
