JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police are investigating a West Jackson tire slashing.

It appears the suspect confessed to the crime in the form of a note.

Recent college graduate, Eunice Wambari, walked out to a rude awakening as she headed to work this morning. Once she got in her car she realized her passenger side tires were slashed and flat.

Apparently a man named Michael Brown left a note on Wambari's windshield.

The note states that Brown also knows something about other tire slashings in the city.

Officer Colendula Green says Wambari's tire slashing is the only one that's been recently reported.

Wambari says, "This is an expense I wasn't planning to have to pay for but it could have been worse. You always have to thank God and know that he was watching over me and watching over our house and our family because it could have been worse."

Wambari thinks the tire slashing happened sometime between 11 and 7 this on Thursday morning.

As Ja-Naya Thompson's short life was celebrated, there were a lot of tears and hugs as hundreds of people paid their respects during the visitation and the funeral service. People told me they went to Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church for two reasons, to mourn the loss of five year old Ja-Naya and to show support to the parents who must now face life without their beloved child.More >>
