Drinkable sunscreen? Maybe, Maybe not

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

You might not have to worry much longer about whether you missed a spot, putting on sunscreen.

A company, called Osmosis Skincare, promises a drinkable sunscreen will neutralize UVA and UVB rays when you are in the sun.

Critics disagree, saying it has not been tested or proven in studies.

Critics also question the small print, which says not to eat before you drink it or exercise because it might interfere with the solution's effectiveness.

Dr. Jayshri Gamoth is a dermatologist. She describes how the product is used.

"So what they would say that you need to take 2 drops of water an hour before you go out and then re-take those drops every 90 minutes to every 3 hours when you're out in the sun."

The drinkable sunscreen is not FDA approved.
