A new 20,000 square foot structure has risen on Point Cadet. Nine years after Hurricane Katrina ripped apart the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, the work is near completion and is set to open to the public in August.
The summer educational adventure camps for the youth will be held beginning next week even before the rest of the building is ready for occupation. The people at the museum proudly declare the camp was held every year, even the summer following Katrina.
Biloxi and the Gulf Coast should be proud of and support the exhibits and events at the brand new Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum.
