UPDATE: Wreck in the Kiln leaves one dead, two injured

KILN, MS (WLOX) -

Hancock County Coroner Jim Faulk confirmed to WLOX News that a wreck on Highway 603 near Hoda Road on Saturday afternoon left one person dead and two others injured. Faulk said two trucks collided after one of them lost control due to heavy rain and t-boned an oncoming truck.

Faulk said 16-year-old Joshua Hathcox, of Covington, LA, was the passenger in the truck that was t-boned and was pronounced dead at the scene. Faulk said Hathcox was wearing a seatbelt.

Mississippi Highway Patrol Lt. Johnny Poulos told us on Sunday morning that the driver of the truck that Hathcox was riding in remains at Memorial Hospital in critical condition. He said the driver of the other truck is in stable condition at Garden Park Medical Center.
