GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

A search warrant executed by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics on Thursday resulted in two arrests and the seizure of more than $170,000 worth of drugs.

MBN Enforcement Commander Lt. Col. Mike Perkins said agents raided a Gulfport apartment where they found 300 doses of Xanax, 1,100 grams of the synthetic stimulant known as molly and hundreds of grams of a white powder that is commonly associated with controlled substances such as MDMA, methamphetamine, LSD and cocaine.

Perkins said agents also recovered drug paraphernalia, digital scales, electronic devices, shipping supplies, documents and hundreds of dollars in cash.

Owens said both are charged with one count of possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of MDMA or ecstasy with intent to distribute and possession of MDMC or molly with intent to distribute.

According to Owens, both suspects are being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility under a $300,000 bond.
