BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A U.S. Marine from Louisiana got a huge surprise Sunday afternoon during the Bayou Country Superfest.

Big D and Bubba, morning radio hosts for 100.7 The Tiger, brought United States Marine Corps. Lance Corporal Keenan Allemond on stage before the Big and Rich concert.

L. Cpl. Allemond thought he was being brought on stage to be honored for his service on this Memorial Day Weekend. Big D and Bubba then told the audience about L. Cpl. Allemond's brother.

The brother had been deployed for 17 months in Japan and L. Cpl. Allemond thought his brother would be home in about two weeks, but the radio hosts knew a secret; that his brother Lane was backstage.

Lance Cpl. Lane Allemond ran onto the stage and hugged his brother Keenan. It was a moment that more than 50,000 country music fans were able to witness, and a perfect moment for the brothers.

This Memorial Day weekend will be sure one the brothers will never forget.

When asked if L. Cpl. Lane Allemond would like to say anything, he replied with pride "God bless America, Semper Fidelis!" The crowd cheered and chanted USA! USA!

The radio show hosts then welcomed Big and Rich to the stage. It was a patriotic start for them and about two songs in, they decided to have the cheering fans stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance.

Concert-goers say that when Hunter Hayes took the stage and sang "Wanted," L. Cpl. Keenan Allemond proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes!

The 5th Annual Bayou Country Superfest had a record setting attendance of 135,000 country music fans.

We live in a wonderful time. We have the capability of instant communication with almost anyone at any time; all in the palm of our hands. We can stay connected to everyone all the time which is great - most of the time. There are times when we need to put aside our smart phones and do our jobs.
