CAMP SHELBY, MS (WDAM) -

The Mississippi National Guard has a new honor reserved for four fallen comrades who lost their lives in the War on Terror. Four barracks under construction at Camp Shelby will be named for four National Guard soldiers who were killed in action in either Iraq or Afghanistan.

The buildings are part of a $41.4 million Operational Readiness Training Complex.

The soldiers being honored are Sgt. Audrey D. Lunsford of Sardis, Miss., Sgt. First Class Christopher Robinson of Brandon, Miss., Sgt. Joseph A. "Drew" Rahaim of Laurel, Miss. and Maj. Lowell T. Miller, II, of Flint Township, Michigan. Lunsford, Rahaim and Miller were killed in Iraq, while Robinson was killed in Afghanistan.

Maj. Gen. Augustus L. Collins, Mississippi's Adjutant General, spoke about the honors Thursday during the annual Military Retiree Day at Camp Shelby.

"Those four buildings will bear the names of those four soldiers who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan," said Collins. "We're going to do a big dedication, bring the families in and really do it up right to show honor to those soldiers who lost their lives," he said.

That complex is scheduled for completion in late summer.
