BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Three South Mississippians are behind bars facing felony drug charges after officers say they discovered an elaborate indoor marijuana grow operation at a home in Biloxi.

Luyen Van Le, 25, Biloxi; Tin Tri Nguyen, 23, Ocean Springs; and Tam Van Nguyen, 34, Biloxi are all charged with cultivation, possession, and intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Investigators said the operation was based out of a home on Club Moss Circle. Two vehicles, occupied by Nguyen, Le and Nguyen, were seen leaving the residence, and were later stopped on Jam Lam. Agents said they were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of raw marijuana coming from both the vehicles and its occupants clothing.

Agents found nine pounds of processed pot packaged for distribution and $4200 in cash inside the vehicles. The trio was immediately arrested and taken into custody, while agents obtained a search warrant for the home.

Once inside, they said they discovered an elaborate indoor marijuana grow operation. Agents seized 504 marijuana plants, about 15 pounds of processed marijuana, indoor grow lights, ledgers and other items used to run the operation.

Jason Davis lives next door to the grow house, and said he found out about the drug raid from his 15-year-old daughter.

"My daughter called me and told me she heard noise next door going on. I guess the bust was taking place," Davis said. "Being in the neighborhood that we're in, it's a pretty quiet neighborhood. We have a lot of children, a lot of retirees and working class people, so we weren't expecting this in the neighborhood, but we're glad now that it's over."

Captain Troy Peterson with the Harrison County Sheriff's Department said what seems like a normal neighborhood these days could be hiding something insidious, and residents should always be aware of their surroundings.

"I've talked about it the last time we found one of these and it's the same thing we found the last time. These are houses in nice neighborhoods, the grass is always cut, the trash cans never out, you never see people in the yards playing. It's the same thing we've seen numerous times again. It's just the public overlooks things like that because they're normal. It's that out of normal thing that you're trying to look for. That thing where you go, 'Something is just not right about that house.' With those things, we want to get calls on," Peterson said.

Remember, no matter where you live in South Mississippi, you can always call the Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (877) 787-5898.

As for the three suspects in this case, all are being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center without bond.
