Silver Alert Canceled: Missing Tupelo man found

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Mississippi Highway Patrol says that the subject of a Silver Alert issued on Monday has been located.

88-year-old Edward L. Crider of Tupelo was found in Kentucky and is safe and uninjured.

Crider is a former Tupelo Police Chief and neighbors say he suffers from Alzheimer's.

    Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board are expected to arrive on the Coast tomorrow to examine wreckage from that Cessna 172 that crashed this morning just north of the Diamondhead Airport.
