HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

We now know the identity of the man accused of leading deputies on a hunt through the woods in Hancock County Friday, and caused surrounding schools to go on lockdown.

John Gray, 33, is accused of stealing a truck from Stennis Space Center and running it into the woods, before fleeing on foot. He's charged with grand larceny, resisting arrest, and possession of paraphernalia.

Gray was on monitored parole in Rankin County, where he was charged with carjacking and possession of meth.

Monday, Hancock County investigators went back to Texas Flat Road, trying to figure out how Gray got into Stennis property in the first place. They believe he may have gone through the woods to gain access.
