DENVER, May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Antero Resources Corporation (NYSE: AR) ("Antero" or the "Company") announced today the commencement of an underwritten public offering of 10 million shares of the Company's common stock (the "Offering") held by Antero Resources Investment LLC (the "Selling Stockholder"). The common stock is being sold in the Offering pursuant to an effective registration statement on Form S-3 previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "Commission"). In addition, the Selling Stockholder anticipates granting the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1.5 million shares of common stock. The Company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of the common stock in the Offering.
