Federal agents have arrested a man accused of killing a Jackson man whose bloody car was found in southeast Arkansas.

Harrison County online jail records show that 34-year-old Brian Joseph Herrington was being held Saturday without bond.

U.S. Deputy Marshal Raymond Smiles said Herrington was arrested in Pass Christian and is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 29-year-old Robert Ross of Jackson.

Arkansas State Police arrested 22-year-old Norvell Childs, of Lake Village, Arkansas, on the same charge in April.

Ross was reported missing March 28.

Authorities said Ross' car was found March 30 east of Portland, Arkansas. His body was never found, but Chicot County Sheriff Ronald Nichols said evidence confirms he was killed.
