Gulfport police arrest hit-and-run suspect

GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) -

This news is just in out of Gulfport where there has been a hit-and-run.

According to Gulfport police, the suspect's vehicle hit a van with three people inside on Seaway Road shortly before 10 a.m. Officials say he then fled the scene.

Witnesses of the accident followed up, and police were able to catch the suspect and arrest him.

One person in the van was taken to the Garden Park Hospital with what appears to be minor injuries.
